The harpy Aelloby ~BohemianWeasel

Traditional Art / Paintings / Illustration / Storybook

Originally the Harpies (literally: 'the snatchers' ) were 'fabulous winged spirits' often associated with tombs; terrifying but not loathsome as later myths would claim to be.
(The eyes and head-feathers drawn here were inspired by the gorgeous and real-life Harpy Eagle.)
